The Los Angeles Valley College Emergency Response Plan and Standard Operating Manuals cover a variety of potentially dangerous situations and give information on response to these emergencies. In order to assure your safety, it is important first of all not to panic and then to contact the appropriate authority to deal with the emergency.
Emergencies as defined in this document include natural disasters, explosions, fires, civil disturbances or demonstrations and terrorists activities including chemical or biological threats. Additionally, the Plan contains actions to be taken by the Emergency Operations Command, Maintenance and Operations and the Emergency Response Teams (Zone, Building, Floor Marshals).
CRITICAL INCIDENTS
The Emergency Response Plan details the College response to any of the critical incidents linked on the left hand navigation. These details give general guidelines for a major emergency on campus or the surrounding area.
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Links under General Information on the left hand navigation will give you helpful information on campus information, your home plan and how to get other data on keeping you, your family and fellow employees safe during an emergency.
